The 2.55 is the original quilted bag conceived by Coco Chanel in February 1955 — hence its name. Karl Lagerfeld has faithfully reissued it several times since 2005: rectangular Mademoiselle clasp (not the rotating CC), entirely metallic chain without interwoven leather, burgundy lining, 'Mademoiselle' gusseted pocket inside — all details that distinguish the 2.55 from the Classic Flap.
